MAN FOUND DEAD IN HOME NEAR RESERVOIR
An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday to determine the cause of death of a Bloomington area man found dead in his home Friday afternoon.
Dale Richard Deckard, 45 R. 3, was found dead about 3:30 p.m. Friday in his home on Ind. 446, near Lake Monroe by a relative.
Sheriff's deputies, investigating the death, estimated Deckard had been dead for approximately 36 hours. He was reportedly last seen alive Wednesday morning while going to work at the Independent Limestone Co., Rockport Road.
Deckard's survivors include one daughter, Miss Mona Lou Deckard, Muncie: his mother, Mrs Mable Albertson, Bloomington, two sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Eads and Mrs. Margaret Johnson, both of Bloomington, and three brothers, Doyle Deckard, Indianapolis, lloyd Deckard, Springville, and Leslie Deckard, Bloomington.
Several niece and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Free Methodist Church, 1121 S. Lincoln St., with the Rev. Elmer Riggs presiding. Burial will follow in Burgoon Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5-9:30p.m. Saturday at the Greene and Harrell Chapel.
Born and died in Polk Township.
