Sandra Merle Hughes, age 80, went to be with the Lord on August, 9, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.

She was born on January 9, 1939 in Deport, Texas to Grayson and Irene Hughes. Sandra attended Sunset H School, Dallas, in 1957 and attended Southern Methodist University. She worked for more than 30 years as the assistant to the President and CEO of Ebby Holiday.

Sandra was an artist and traveling was of great enjoyment. She had a large sea shell collection which she donated to the Heard Museum.

Her family and friends will remember her as a passionate artist, animal lover, creative, adventurer, a dedicated professional and multi-talented.

She is preceded by her parents and her precious kitty, Benjamin Franklin IV.

Sandra is survived by, Nephew, Eric Beauvais, wife Cherie, of Paradise, Texas; niece, Angelique Verver, and husband Michael, of Colman, South Dakota; niece Monique Reeves, husband Joe, of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Marilyn Hughes Baker of Weatherford, Texas; seven great nieces and one great nephew; Callista, Samantha, Claire, Grayson, Chayton, Channing, Ava and Vivian; and a host of other family and friends.

Services for Sandra will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Grove Hill Funeral Chapel. She will then be laid to rest in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
