Pioneer Preacher of the Primitive Gospel. Laboring to restore the Church to the pattern laid down in the New Testament by Christ and the apostles, he establishes churches of Christ at Howard, Beech Creek ( now Blanchard), Bald Eagle Bridge (now Mill Hall), Marsh Creek and Salona. He served from 1832 until his death. His remains, with those of his family, lie buried in Packer Cemetery one mile north of Howard. (Erected by the "Brotherhood" Tenth District Churches of Christ.
