Graveside funeral services for Mr. Charles L. Givens Jr., age 92, are scheduled for 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in Christ Church Cemetery.

Mr. Givens peacefully passed on August 10, 2019. He lived his entire life in Bastrop, LA, and was happily married to the love of his life, Margie, for 72 wonderful years! They are both devoted members of First Baptist Church. He served in the Untied States Navy on the USS Waukesha in World War II. Later, he went to work for International Paper Company. After retirement he became an avid gardener and fisherman. His greatest passion was Christmas, he always spent days creating the most beautiful trees! Occasionally he would cook all night long so he could fellowship with friends and family. He was always quick to place others before himself.

He is survived by his son, Louis Givens and wife Dori; grandchildren, Chad Givens and wife Brandy, Sean Biglane, Anna Marie Juneau and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Chandler Givens and wife Alix, Rylie Givens, Kaen Givens, Grayson Biglane, Joseph Juneau, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. C.L. is preceded in death by his parents, Charles L. Givens, Sr.and wife Vara; most beloved wife, Margie Mae House Givens; daughter, Sandra Marie Biglane; sisters, Gerry Evans and Dot Summerville.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Baptist Childrens home or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
