Elaine May (Pizza) Hicks, 82, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.
She was the beloved wife of the late Earl Clyde Hicks.
Born in Lynn, MA, daughter of the late Tulio and Florence (Hoyt) Pizza, she was a Newington resident for 40 years and a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.
Elaine enjoyed roller-skating and square dancing with her husband, and vacationing in their camper.

A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she leaves her two daughters, Darlene Koniarz and her husband Boguslaw “Bugsy” of Myrtle Beach, SC and Caroline Delphia and her husband Michael of Middletown, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Eugene and Norman Pizza, Bernice Ryan and Rose Scalese.

Calling hours were held at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington.
She was laid to rest with her husband in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington.
