Funeral Services for Nicky Smith, 67, Arapaho resident will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Wendall Folsom and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Arapaho Cemetery. He Died Saturday, August 10, 2019.
Nicky Smith was born October 28, 1951 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Victor and Tillie Smith. He married Judy Robinson on November 26, 1969. He graduated from Clinton High School. He worked as a mechanic for several years and as a parts man at Moser Auto until he went to work for the town of Arapaho. He was the Chief of Police for 15 years. Was also assistant chief of the Arapaho Volunteer Fire Department for three years and retired from the Fire Department after serving over 20 years. He had also held the position of town Civil Defense director and served in other positions for the town. He was also a state certified law enforcement driving instructor. Nicky was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife, two sons Nicky Jr. and Jeramey McClure and wife Sara. A granddaughter Abby Downs and two great grandchildren Adrian and Tatum. A brother Rocky Smith of Albany, Indiana.
