Anna M. Pugh
SEPTEMBER 18, 1928 – AUGUST 5, 2019

Born September 18, 1928 to Lucille and Luther Booth in Los Angeles, California. Lifetime resident of Houston.
On August 5, 2019 she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who died for her sins and rose again. By faith in Him, she has eternal life. (Roman 6:23; I John 5:11-13).

Proceeded in death by parents; sister, Dorothy Harrington; daughter, Bette Pugh Puffer, and her loving husband of 73 years.

Survived by her Son, Craig Pugh and wife Barbara; son-in-law Willis Puffer; Grandchildren: Melissa Pugh; Courtney Puffer, Callie Puffer, Jonathon and wife Katelyn Puffer.

On September 11, 1945 Ann and O.D. married at Victorville, California Air Force base, where he was stationed. In God's amazing grace, He enabled them to celebrate 73 years of marriage. He gave them long lives and full lives together. To God be the Glory.

The greatest blessings of our lives were our two precious children, Craig and Bette. Both of them gave us beautiful grandchildren.

Our precious Bette went to be with the Lord at age 57. What wonderful reunions await us in Heaven!

At age 27, Ann received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Saviour from sin, at a Billy Graham Crusade. Serving Him has been her passion for 60 years.

I am ever grateful for these mentors who equipped me for a lifetime of Christian service:

Pastor Milo Jamison - Bible Fellowship Studies

Esther Kilman - Children's Home Bible Clubs

Dr. N.A. Woychuk - Scripture Memory Fellowship

Norman Rohrer - Christian Writers Guild

Lynn Ayers - Houston Caligraphy Guild

Many lasting friendships came from teaching chilldren and ladies Bible classes.

In her 80's, Ann encouraged others through a mail ministry.

"If I would covet any honor of authorship,

it would be this: that some of my letters

might be found in the desks of my friends,

when their life's stuggles are ended."

- Sir Robertson Nicole

O.D. and Ann's priorities were: God, Family, Friends and Country. They loved their chillden, grandchildren, and friends. Family togetherness was top priority. Out of this came many precious memories. They treasured their many friends.

Ann and O.D. are members of Pine Valley BIble Church.
