Charles remains were cremated. His ashes were divided into three portions. Part of his ashes were scattered on Mt. Jumbo in Missoula, Montana, to be with other family members. Since Bud loved to fish, part of his ashes were spread over the waters of the Flathead River from the old red bridge less than a mile from his home in Columbia Falls. This must be the fishermans version of ashes to ashes, dust to dust. His remaining ashes were placed inside an old fishing creel for burial. An angleworm was there to greet him as we laid him to rest.
