Born October 16, 1936 in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica Rabaciauskas Kiskis. She was a life-long resident and attended local schools.
Amelia was a homemaker, loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family and she enjoyed reading. She was of the Christian faith.
On April 24, 1955, she married Kenneth J. Lewis, Sr., who passed away September 22, 1996. She was also pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Robert Faboskay in 2008.
Survivors include her loving family, four sons, Kenneth J. Lewis, Jr. (Linda), Lawrence Lewis (Bonnie) and Jerome Lewis all of Amsterdam and Michael Lewis (Grace) of Gloversville; four daughters, Valerie Mehan of Fultonville, Laura Faboskay of Delanson, Melissa Faboskay (Russell) and Robbi Lewis both of Amsterdam; two brothers, Thomas Kiskis of Amsterdam and Richard Kiskis of FL; two sisters, Marion Hill of Broadalbin, and Victoria Quinn (John) of Valatia, NY; twenty-three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private funeral services will be held at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Calling hours are private. Burial will take place in Green Hill Cemetery, Amsterdam.
