He was born July 17, 1889 in Magazine, Arkansas the son of James Wilford and Anna Evelyn Wise.
D.H. Wise, age 21, and Myrtle Nichols, age 17, were married January 29, 1911 in Franklin County, Arkansas.
They were the parents of seven children: Clyde, Alice Maria, Ruby Edna, Beatrice, Ova Lee, Thomas, and Helen.
His wife died two weeks ago.
Survivors include his children.
The Funeral Service was at 4:00 p.m., today, Friday, February 18, 1938 at Moore's Chapel with the Reverend W. V. Womack officiating.
Burial is in Tharp Cemetery, west of Fayetteville.
