Peggy Hires Bennett, 85, of Jesup, died Saturday, August 10, 2019. The Wayne County native was a homemaker and member of Church of Christ.
Survivors are her sons, Art (Maxine) Bennett, John (Jean) Bennet, and Mark (Marlena) Bennett of Jesup; sisters, Janice Scarborough and Elise Williams of Jesup; several half-sisters and half-brothers; several grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at George Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Greenlee officiating.
Family will receive friends at the cemetery.
