Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Lee Jones, of Dublin, will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at 11 AM at the Pine Hill Christian Church, 2908 Fountain Road in Cadwell. Pastor Belinda Faye Mitchell will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bertha Lee Jones, affectionately known as "Bert", was born on June 29, 1952, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walker and Tinnie Mae Elvine. She was employed with Ward's Delivery and South Central Group Home in Dublin. She passed away on August 7, 2019. Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Annie Elvine , Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Martha Thomas, mother and father-in-law, Deacon Lanier (Sam), Mrs. Nattie Lee Jones, six brothers, and two sisters all preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bertha Lee Jones leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Mr. Ira Lee Jones of Dublin, two daughters, Mrs. Kimberly (Derick) Gibson of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ms. Stacey Bonner of Rentz, Georgia, four sons, Mr. Anthony (Amira) Jones, Mr. Sidney Jones of Cadwell, Georgia, Mr. Henry (Tonya) Elvine, Mr. Monolito Jones of Dublin, four special goddaughters, Mrs. Shantay (Travis) Butts of Dexter, Mrs. Lisa (Quinton) Salem of Mount Vernon, Georgia, Ms. April Mitchell of Dublin, and Ms. Carnish Holmes of Dublin, one godson, Mr. Christopher Brown of Manning, South Carolina, special nephew and niece, Ron and Marica Smith, four sisters, Ms. Jearline Dewberry of Cadwell, Minister Annie Jackson, Mrs. Luevone (Reverend James) Adams, of Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Martha (Robert) Jones of Dublin, one aunt, Katie Lue Fullwood of Dublin, two brothers-in-laws, Mr. Izell (Barbara) Jones, Mr. Ulysses (Doris) Pittman, all of Dexter, twenty-three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four great grandchildren that she raised, Erica Bonner, Asia Morris, Chris Bonner, and Joseph Coley, Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
