Annie Rose Carter (nee Jones), 74, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 28, 1945 in Abbeyville, Alabama and had lived in Lorain since 1997. She retired from Hugo Boss as a seamstress after 36 years of service. She was a member of Bethel Church of God in Christ in Elyria, where she served on the Pastor's Aid Committee and sang in the choir. She enjoyed shopping, reading, doing crossword puzzles, doing hair, cooking and baking.
Annie is survived by three sons, Joseph G. Carter, Jr. (Erika), Courtney R. "Fatty" Carter and Cornelius R. "Reggie" Carter (Alicia); nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Randle and Willy J. "Nana" Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gertrude Jones and her brother, Jack Jones.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Maedonia Church of God in Christ, 233 Bell Ave., Elyria, with Dr. Curtis Daniels officiating and Supt. Elder Willis Williams eulogizing. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
