Mrs. Vivian Ann "Vib" Tucker, age 65, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at her residence, after a brief illness.
Born in McColl, SC, on December 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ray Cheek and Mamie Fowler Cheek. She was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith. She had a great love for all animals, especially her dogs and cats. She enjoyed playing BINGO, and her passion was caring for her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all.
Vib is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, David Lee Tucker, Sr. of McColl; her sons, David Lee Tucker, Jr. (Karen) of Rowland, NC and Little Jim Tucker of the home; daughters, Lil Tucker (Cyndee Faulk) of McColl and Kelly Tucker of McColl; a brother, Doug "Teeny" Cheek of McColl; sisters, Diane Bowers (Johnny) of Tatum and Nancy Loretta Bradley of Bennettsville; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Troy Tucker, Blake Jones, Ansleigh Caulder, Tyler Tucker and Nahaven Tucker; by her devoted and loyal canine friend Jesse; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Rogers Funeral Home. A private burial for family only will follow. The Rev. Perry Wayne Deal will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8PM on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; by brothers, Jimmy Watson Cheek and Michael "Micky"Cheek; a sister, Daisy Cheek Floyd; and by a granddaughter, Staci Jones Tucker.
