Shirley had worked in retail, was a licensed cosmetologist, and a substitute teacher for the Quinlan and Italy school districts. At age 60, she graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. She was an Elvis fan and had a great passion for fishing, family and genealogy. She started with the TXGenWeb Project as a surfer in 1999, took over a county in 2002, and became Assistant State Coordinator. She had served as the Texas State Coordinator since 2006.
Besides her parents and her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by 2 brothers, LeRoy Webb and Guy Webb, and her granddaughter Stephanie Pitt.
She is survived by her sister Donna Irish; her brother Bobby Webb; six children: daughters, Holly Spraberry and husband James, Valerie Pitt and husband David, Alicia Littlejohn and husband Johnny; sons Thomas Cullum and wife Cheryl, Donald Cullum and wife Mary, and Wesley Collins and wife Carolann; 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
