Augusta O'Neal Malone Phillips "Bigmama" was born August 9, 1920, to Allen and Mattie O'Neal in Lott, Texas. She attended school in Lott, TX. Augusta married Charlie Malone (1944) and Thomas Phillips (1963) to these unions eight children were born. She was faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church, she was active in the choir, the Women's Ministry and Sunday School. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and sharing her wisdom with her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, five brothers, two sisters, two sons Billy and Charles Malone and two daughters Carrye Tropez and Charlie Etta Turner. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Pastor T. E. and Shirley Malone; Helen Malone; Linda and Terry Kemp; Sandra and Tommy Reasonover; and Ricky and Vanessa Malone; one sister, Mary Lee Wilson, 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great- grandchild, countless other relatives and a host of close friends. Her wake will be held Thursday, August 8th @ New Hope Baptist Church, from 6PM-8PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 9th @ New Hope Baptist Church @ 11AM with viewing from 10AM-11AM. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.
