Alice was born on November 10, 1920 in Smith County to the late Guy and Minnie Hughes. She was a life-long resident of Morton.
She loved spending time with family and friends, but she truly loved the Lord with all her heart and enjoyed attending services at Two-Mile Baptist Church where she was a life-long, charter member. One of her most enjoyable memories was traveling home and the gathering of family to attend yearly Homecoming services at Sardis Baptist Church in Morton.
