Patrick Richard (Pat) Elam, 76, of Birmingham passed away August 5, 2019. Born September 18, 1942 in Barbourville, KY to Reid and Mary Eugenia (Gene) Elam.

Pat was a member of the Army National Guard and retired branch manager of Bituminous Casualty Corporation. Actively involved in church on the finance committee, Marriage Encounter, Knights of Columbus, and ushering.

Survived by wife, Evelyn; daughters April Travis (Chip), Suzie Easterling (Sam), Angela Greene (Brian), Sasha Carter (Jason); brother Robert Elam; sisters Mary Ann Smith, Dorothy Gene Oxendine; grandchildren Will and Josh Travis, Sam and Hannah Easterling, Abby and Allison Greene, Mason and Audrey Carter.

Preceded in death by parents, Reid and Gene Elam; brother Mike Elam.

Visitation: Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Birmingham, Thursday, August 15, 4-5:30 p.m. with Wake, 5:30-6:00. Funeral Mass Friday, August 16, 10:30 a.m. at OLV Catholic Church.
