Walter Max Gaebler Sr., 85, passed away Aug. 9, 2019 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was born Jan. 26, 1934 in Wilbarger County Texas to Walter and Jessie Gaebler. He was a graduate of Lockett High School and he was a farmer. He married Nelda Rose Haseloff on Jan. 25, 1952. He is survived by one son, Walter Max (Kathy) Gaebler III of Vernon, Texas; twin daughters Sherry Henley of Littlefield, Texas and Cheryle (Floyd) Sanchez of Vernon, Texas; 6 grandchildren Chris Sanchez, Eric Sanchez, Serena Rumbaugh, Jarrod Henley, Walt Gaebler, Karla Chappell; 8 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Junita Bowland of White Settlement, Vivian Baldwin of Bonham and Jean King of Abilene. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda, his parents and two sisters Mabel Rushing and Maurine Hamilton and one son-in-law Jimmy Henley.
