On Friday, August 2, 2019 Daniel Henry Shaw, loving father, beloved son, cherished brother, dear uncle and great friend passed away at the age 65.
Daniel was born November 23, 1953 and was a long-time resident of "the Southside" of St. Louis, Missouri. After attending Fox High School, he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. All who knew Daniel knew him as a gifted electrician, mechanic, carpenter and jack of all trades. He owned his own business as a general contractor throughout his career. His hobbies included tinkering with electronics and old cars, listening to rock legends Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, fishing off the pier in Padre Island near Corpus Christi, Texas, cooking and attending pow wows to celebrate his Native American heritage.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Lester Shaw, Sr. and his brothers, David Shaw, Sr. and Terry Shaw.
A memorial service was held at St. Louis Cremation Chapel – 2135 Chouteau, St. Louis, MO 63103 on Friday August 9, 2019. Interment services followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery .
