Carolyn Winters Cates, 24 Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter and Sister, rejoined her Heavenly Father as an Angel of God in Heaven, December 27, 1981. Born December 9, 1957, Salt Lake City, Utah, to George L. and Emma Sawyer Winters. Married Randall W. Cates, May 11, 1975, Modesto, California. Attended Horace Mann Jr. High School, Graduated with honors from Utah Technical College. Member of LDS Church, serving as a teacher in Sunday School and Primary. Employed by Cleaning Clique, a group of her close friends and associates. She loved dogs and was an avid horsewoman. She was a beautiful, gentle, and very special young lady whose light, laughter and special presence will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. And, in so touching, gave so much of herself. Carolyn, we love you and miss you.
Survived by Husband, three daughters, Jennifer Jean, Jessica Lin and Jeanene Lischeile;; Son, Jeffery Randall, all of Layton, Utah; Parents, Salt Lake City; Three Sisters, Mrs. Glen (Kathy) Jenkins; Mrs. Randy (Judy) Hawkes; and Mrs. John (Brenda) Hawkins; three Brothers, Gary, Russell and Craig, all of Salt Lake City; and many special friends who loved her.
Graveside Services Thursday, 1 p.m., Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 P.M."
