Rev. Millie L. Harper, age 91, of Hot Springs, died Saturday, August 3, 2019.

She was born on March 27, 1928, in Friendship, the daughter of Sam Mathews and Blanch Smith Mathews.

On July 20, 1946, she married Doyle R. Harper who preceded her in death on September 13, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Nina Malmberg.

Rev. Harper was the founding pastor of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle on November 30, 1972 and was licensed with the United Pentecostal Church International for over 50 years.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, David Harper of Hot Springs, Rev. Jerry and Megan Harper of Oberlin, Ohio, Rev. Terry Harper of San Diego, California and Jim and Susie Harper of Hot Springs; her daughter and son-in-law, Caron and Bob Timme of Hot Springs Village; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 12, 2019, in the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle with Pastor Dennis Anderson officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Friendship, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Pallbearers will be Evan Harper, Seth Harper, Kevin Adcock, Ashton Adcock, Jackson Adcock and Tyler Vining.
