Sheridan —
Arrie Elizabeth Davenport, 90, of Sheridan, died Tuesday at Saline Memorial Hospital at Benton.

She was born Aug. 8, 1916, at Prattsville, a daughter of the late Walter Corley and Lula Holiman Corley.

She was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Davenport, whom she married on Feb. 18, 1933, at Prattsville; a daughter, Louise Purtle; a son, Tony Davenport; and three grandsons.

Survivors include five daughters, Rachel Thompson of Mablevale, and Reba Beck, Bobbie Windham, Linda Davenport and Netha Jones, all of Sheridan; two sons, Dean Davenport of Little Rock and Danny Davenport of Malvern; one brother, Lee Corley of Prattsville; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Buie Funeral Home at Sheridan, with Kenneth Click and Don Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Poe Cemetery in Sheridan.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that persons wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider Lost Creek Missionary Baptist, P.O. Box 337, Sheridan, Ark.
