EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mike Burnett announces his passing on Wednesday, August 07, 2019 at his home in Eunice. He was 68. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 09, 2019 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice.
Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Pastor Ricky Boone officiating.
Mike took pride in all his work throughout his life. He worked for many years as a car salesman, but also worked as a tug boat cook, for Air King and traveled all over, as well as other jobs. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, as well as driving, riding, and taking care of cars. He had many other interests as well, including putting together model cars, watching western movies and Sci-Fi, reading Popular Science and Popular Mechanics magazines, and listening to music. Mike will be missed by his previous wife, Jo Ann Burnett of Eunice; his two sons, Jon Burnett and wife, Vanessa of Eunice, and Dan Burnett and wife, Chasidy of Youngsville; brother, Larry Burnett of Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Hayden Burnett, Tanner Fontenot, Lauren Burnett, Brycen Burnett, Kamryn Wright, Miah Broussard, and Kayden Burnett; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruby Patterson Burnett.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, August 9th from 10:00 am until time of services.
