Kevin Robert McGuire
MAY 8, 1957 ~ JULY 29, 2019 (AGE 62)

The last of the McGuire clan. Our beloved Kevin Robert McGuire (Kev), 62, passed away to the hands of the Lord through the veil peacefully from complications of stomach cancer. He left this wonderful world on July 29, 2019, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born May 8, 1957, to Robert Eugene McGuire and Margery Laurele Beasley in Garden Grove, CA. A bundle of joy, he went fishing every Saturday afternoon at Isaac Walton Pond, attended Crosby Elementary in Garden Grove, CA, and had Sunday dinner at his grandparents’ home after church where he watched Lassie, Disneyland and Bonanza on color tv. He enjoyed family picnics at Irvine Ranch, riding tandem bicycles, climbing trees and rowing boats, as well as Disney Land and Knotts Berry Farm when they were free! Spending time at Newport Laguna and Huntington Beach was always refreshing during a Santa Anna wind. Hollywood Christmas parade visiting his aunt was always one of his favorites.

After his father relocated the family to Ogden, Utah, he attended Sand Ridge Junior High, graduated Roy High School, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Weber State University.

Kevin was medically discharged and retired from the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his mother Margery (Elgin-Sonoita, AZ); sisters Laurele Ann Windley Briggs-Lyle (Ogden, UT), Melanie Lynne Judkins-Pope (Pierce-Sunsites, AZ), Bonnie Jean Moore (Elgin-Sonoita, AZ); Aunt Sharlene L. McGuire-Hensch (Hesperia, CA); Cousin Renee Leone Hensch-Hahn (Hesperia, CA); nephews Robert Glenn Windley (Layton, UT), Lawrence Michael Briggs-Archer-Ponzilli (McAllen, TX), David Elmer Lyle II (Sierra Vista, AZ), Joshua Kevin Lyle (Denver, CO), Troy J. Judkins (Hooper, UT), Ryan S. Judkins (Hooper, UT), Cameron Moore (Tuscon, AZ), and Aaron Moore (Sierra Vista, AZ).

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Eugene McGuire (Sierra Vista, AZ); Great-grandparents Edward C. and Ida Bell Brock McGuire (Cedar Rapids, IA), Charles Albert and Minnie Viola Raymond-Bales (Sigourney,IA), and Thomas J. and Mary A Herman-Beasley (Sigourney, IA); Grandparents Berl Raymond and Luella Jones-McGuire (Westminster, CA), Wilber and Nellie Williamson-Reynolds-Bales-Beasley (Sigourney, IA); niece Stephanie Windley Mathews-Fisher (Ogden, UT).

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 8 at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St, Ogden, UT, at 11 am.
