Salt Springs - Charles Lester Armstrong, 77, passed away August 2, 2019 at home. Born August 31, 1941, in Palatka, FL, to Lester Hugh and Hazel Bell Armstrong. He resided in Salt Springs for the last 20 years prior to that he lived in Palatka. He is a Veteran of the United States Army, he later worked as a roofing contractor in Palatka for over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Leslie Ann; brother, Glen Armstrong; and sisters Nelda Fowler and Annette Swearing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Charlotte Stringer Armstrong; sons, Keith Collier, Dallas DeRisso, Mike Armstrong; step-sons, Scott Strickland, Neal Strickland, Tommy Sheffield and Steven Sheffield; daughters, Traci Mendez; step-daughters, Tracey Strickland Kelley and Debbie Donlan; sister, Terri Lynn Pope; numerous loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all whom will miss him dearly.

A Memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, August 9, 2019, at the Salt Springs VFW with a reception following the service. Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
