Linda Mae Cain, 60, of Ottumwa, died at 11 a.m. September 22, 2021 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.
She was born March 10, 1961 in Ottumwa to Clifford Fern and Louise Marie Jessop Cain.
A 1980 graduate of Kirksville High School in Missouri, Linda worked for South Hy-Vee in Ottumwa for 20 years.
Linda enjoyed watching The Price is Right, Let's Make a Deal and movies with animals in them. She had many cats and dogs inside her home over the years. Linda loved going to the concerts at the Iowa State Fair and listening to country music, even leaving her radio on when she went to bed. She was an avid card player and frequented Riverside Restaurant, eating Belgian waffles with strawberry glaze and whipped topping. Linda also loved unicorns.
Surviving are her children, Shane and Kara; a sister Eva Marie Cain of Ottumwa; a half-sister, Cheryl Newman of Albia; and her fiancé, Daniel Groth who was a very loving man.
She was preceded in death by her parents, half-brother, Randy Cain and brother, Joe Cain.
Visitation will be open at 10 a.m. Sunday, September 26th at Reece Funeral Home with family present to greet friends 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 27th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hornback officiating. For those unable to attend, you may watch live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page.
Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
