Roy Lee Washington was born October 22, 1958 to Alfred and Mollie (McNac) Washington in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 in the Midwest Alliance in Oklahoma City, OK.
Roy was raised in Clinton, OK and Graduated from Clinton High School in 1976. He moved to Memphis, Tennessee for a short time and then returned home to Clinton. He was employed with the City of Clinton in the Maintenance Department before starting a 39 year career with the former Arkla Gas Company (now Center Point Energy).
He was a servant to all; he helped anybody in need. He was an avid Oklahoma University Sports Fan and especially football. He was a lover of music; he enjoyed any kind of history, military information and reading the National Geographic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Peggy Ford, brother, Alfred Washington, Jr. and a granddaughter, Alina Marie Lint, sister in law, Gloria Washington.
He is survived by wife, Doris, of the home, daughters Brandi Lint and husband, Brian, Ely Iowa, Crystal Griffin, OKC, Trisha Hester, Clinton Courtney Foust and husband Jesse, Marion, Iowa; sons, Christopher Washington and wife, Rhiannon, Clinton and Kelley Washington, Golden, CO; sisters, Josephine Caldwell, Clinton, Doris Washington, Las Vegas, NV, Bertha Washington, Clinton and Rita Romero and husband, Chris,, Antioch, CA; brothers, Willie B. “Jack” Murphy, Henrietta, OK, Toy Washington and wife Radean, Clinton and Henry Washington, Clinton.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
