Ona Olive Bennett, 84, Marion, passed away at 11:27 pm on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at Aperion Care in Marion. She was born in Morehead, Kentucky, on Wednesday, September 12, 1934, to Allie and Eliza (Clay-Loveless) Plank. She married Clifford Lee Bennett on November 1, 1969, and he survives.

Ona worked for many years with Gen Corp, retiring after 40 years of service. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church and was very involved with the church in all activities. She loved cooking (she was a great cook!), gardening, and working in her flower beds. Second to the Lord, her family was the most precious, and she always made it a priority to spend time with them. Ona will also be remembered for how much of a fighter she was. She had successfully made it through two fights with breast cancer.

Additional survivors include her son, Kevin D. (Dawn) Bennett of Warren; daughter-in-law, Dawn M. (Kevin) Bennett of Warren; granddaughters, Ashley D. Campbell of Marion, Allie K. Bennett, Rachel R. Johnson of Anderson, and Rebekah N. Weaver of Anderson; great-grandsons, Harrison L. Campbell of Marion and Jayden L. Johnson of Warren; great-granddaughter, Jaysha R. Johnson of Indianapolis; brother, Curtis (Kay) Planck of Lenoir City, TN; sisters, Shirley Davis of New Castle and Joyce (Robert) Riddle of Fairmount; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Dean of Morehead, KY.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renea A. Villarreal; brothers, Ralph Plank, Harold Plank, Marvin Plank, Vernon Plank, Otha Plank, Wendell Plank, and Darriel Plank; and sisters, Georgie Carter, Vesta Plank, Vada Estep, Arvetta Dean, and Phyllis Rodgers.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 10, 2019, at First Pentecostal Church, 1116 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Marion, IN. with Pastor Darrin Williams officiating. Burial followed at Grant Memorial Park.
