Former Grants Pass resident Nita Louise Cadwalader, 38, of Madras died April 3, 2009, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors, with Ken Bern, pastor, officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.since1928hull.com.

Cadwalader was born Jan. 11, 1971, in Grants Pass to Windell and Patricia (Jubera) Winterbottom. She grew up in Grants Pass.

In 1989, she graduated from Hidden Valley High School, where she was a member of Distributive Education Clubs of America and kept statistics for the wrestling team for four years. In 1995, she graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in science of horticulture.

On May 1, 1999, in Grants Pass, she married Jason Cadwalader, who survives. Fourteen years ago, she moved from Grants Pass to Madras and she worked as a field representative for Central Oregon Seed Incorporated.

For 10 years, she was active in 4-H in Grants Pass, including the Trailblazers 4-H Club. She enjoyed horses and barrel racing and she participated in several barrel racing clubs throughout central Oregon. She also enjoyed flowers.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Garrett Cadwalader of Madras; her mother, Pat Winterbottom of Grants Pass; a brother, Paul Winterbottom of Medford; and her grandparents, Art and Helen Jubera of Grants Pass.

Her father died in 1979, and a brother, John, died in 1985.
