Debra Kay “Debbie” Dixon, age 47 of Anna, died Friday, August 2, 2019.
She was born June 4,1972 in Carbondale, the daughter of Alice Marie Leonard.
She married the love of her life, William Lee Dixon on April 10, 1989 in Jackson, MO.

Debbie is survived by her husband, William Lee Dixon of Anna; daughters, Nicole (Roy) Amber (Charles) and Ashley (Lee) all of Anna; five grandchildren, mother, Alice Marie (Lloyd) McCann of Anna; father, David Shriver Sr. of Olive Branch brother, D. Shriver (Sarah Haynes) of Jonesboro; sister, Jenny (Jeff) of Anna; mother in law, Betty (Cliff) of Jackson, MO; other relatives and many, many friends.

Debbie was a member of the Anna Church of the Nazarene. She worked for the Southern Illinoisan as a paper carrier for the last six years. Debbie was very giving, she and her husband William organized the You Been Blessed Ministries which delivered meals to local seniors in Union County. She was always thinking of others and ways they could help their local community. She loved to cook and always wanted to make sure those in need had meals or sweets. Debbie loved her family, especially her grand babies and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek.
Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. and until the service hour at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

JACKSON COUNTY (WSIL) -- The Sheriff's office has released the names of those involved in a deadly crash on Friday, August 2.

On Sunday, the Jackson County Sheriff's office sent out a news release detailing what happened. They say around 12:30 a.m. deputies were called to a head-on crash on South US Highway 51, south of Makanda Road.

The second vehicle was driven by Debra Dixon, 47, of Anna. Dixon's passengers were 51 year-old William Dixon, 42-year-old Charles Jackson and 27-year-old Amber Jackson, all of Anna.

Debra Dixon was pronounced at the scene. Dixon's daughter, Amber Dixon, succumbed to her injuries shortly after being transported to a local hospital.
