A native of Guilford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William and Maude Baxter. Joanna is also preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Frankie" Pack who died January 26, 2000. Joanna and Frankie enjoyed 51 years of marriage.
She has lived in Hendersonville for the past 76 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville; and was an active member of the Alma Lee Cheves Sunday Class for years participating in several Care Groups. In honor of her husband Frank, and in laws, Joanna also attended services at First Nazarene Church of Hendersonville periodically.
Joanna was a member of the Soroptimist Club. She was an avid Bridge Player; and the three Bridge Groups she was part of were like her family. Joanna enjoyed knitting and making afghan blankets and beautiful scarfs.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville with Rev. Jean Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church in the Alma Lee Cheves Sunday School Class.
