Inez Joan Johnson, 82, of Watauga, TX, died January 8, 2021 at Medical City – North Richland Hills, TX.
She was born April 2, 1938 in Confidence, IA to Joseph David and Gladys Olive Murry Sulser. She married Raymond L. Johnson January 28, 1959 in Bloomfield, IA and he preceded her in death February 6, 1987. She married Arturo A. Johnson March 28, 1994.
Growing up in Centerville, she lived in Moulton the majority of her life before moving to Texas.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in home health care, but enjoyed most of her years as a housewife
She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, cooking and most importantly visiting family.
Surviving is her husband, Arturo; her children, Jana Havas of Arlington, TX, Joseph Johnson of Columbia, MO, Timothy (Kelly) Johnson of Hartford, IA, Raymond Johnson of Centerville, Joanna (Richard) Reyes of Owasso, OK, Bill (Tammy) Johnson of Hartford, IA and James Johnson of Bloomfield; three step-children, JudyJo Schafer, Tony Johnson and Rachel Diaz; 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Rita Rudd of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lavonne Dyer; a brother, Theodore Sulser; a grandson, Christopher Prather.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 16th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ottumwa Ward. For those unable to be at the service, you may watch live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Joan's family will be present for visitation one hour prior to the service to greet friends.
