Doris Marie Schott Wallace Garrett age 96, of Devine, Texas passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas.

Doris was born July 6, 1923 in Devine, Texas to William Dominic Schott and Sybilla Bendele Schott.

Doris was very active with the community, especially with St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she taught CCD classes and was a charter member of Christian Mothers since 1945. She was a part of the Sr. Bingo and bunko groups as well.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, William and Sybilla Schott; husband, Howard Wallace of 44 years; brother, Jack Schott; sister, Lois Goslin; sister-in-law, Mary Krenzler Schott.

Doris is survived by her sons, Bill Wallace (Tina), Dan Wallace (Nancy); daughter, Vicki Jette (Paul); sisters, Marian Chandler; Grandchildren, Shannon Bendle (Scott), Stacey Wallace, Tim Wallace, Allison Jette Cooke (Aaron), Katharyn Jette Andermatt (Koehler), Quinn Jette, William Jette (Jessica), David Jette (Jessica); Great-Granddaughters, Emory Grace Cooke, Collins Cooke, Victoria Andermatt, Violet Jette; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2019 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. St. Joseph's Catholic Church Devine, Texas. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 7, 2019 11:00 A.M. St. Joseph's Catholic Church Devine, Texas with internment to follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.

Special thank you to the Christian Mothers society and to all the family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
