Martha Marlene Stalter passed away on May 11, 2016. Martha “Marlene” Jay was born in Atwood, Illinois on November 16, 1934. She married William “Bill” Stalter in 1955. A private graveside service was held at Mackville Cemetery in Atwood, Illinois on May 21, 2016. Marlene is survived by her son, Bill Stalter (Renda) and daughter, Becky Stalter. She leaves behind grandchildren, Chelsea, Avery, Colin, Amanda Stalter and two great- grandchildren, Chase and Colten White. Marlene also leaves behind her sisters, Phyllis Stephenson, Maxine Selle, and Art Jay. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Atwood or the American Cancer Society.
