John Lee Crouch, 81, of Columbus, passed from this life at 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2019 at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
John was born July 24, 1938, in Columbus, the son of John J. and Moneta E. Davis Crouch.
Mr. Crouch retired from Dorel Juvenile Group in 2000.
He was a 1956 graduate of Columbus High School and attended classes at Purdue University, Butler University and graduated from Ivy Tech.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and American Legion.
Mr. Crouch was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He married Janet S. Schroer January 1, 1966.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; a daughter, Judy (Larry) Clipp of Columbus; grandsons, James A. Clipp and his fiancé Hanna Michaelis and Jonathan E. (Kodi) Clipp; his sister, Susan J. Barker of Commiskey; a niece, Brittany (Randy) Hostetler; and a great-nephew, Riggin Hostetler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son James Lee Crouch.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Todd Riordan officiating.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and 10:00 a.m. to time of service Wednesday at the church.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery with military honors presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
