The daughter of William and Alice Seward, Mrs. Martin spent her girlhood in Union township. She was a member of the Farmers Chapel church near Ferndale.
In 1906, she was married to Willard Martin, whom survives.
Mrs. Martin is survived by all four daughters, Mrs. Ernest Jones of Indianapolis, Mrs. James Vanscoyoc of Rockville, Miss Leonore and Denzel Martin, at home; two grandchildren; a step-mother, Mrs. Ruth Seward; a half-brother, John V. Seward and a half-sister, Miss Eva Bell Seward of Union township.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon at Farmers Chapel church. Burial will be made in the Farmers Chapel cemetery. The body was taken to the Barnes mortuary where it will remain until the hour of the service.
