Juanita was born in Oklahoma and traveled with her parents and brothers to California when she was a young girl. Her family lived in several towns before settling in Olivehurst, CA where she met and married her husband, Alfred. Soon after marriage Alfred was drafted into the US Navy serving during WWII. Juanita worked at a few jobs before being hired by the State of California in the 1960s and eventually retired. She and Alfred had an adventurous life and lived in several towns before settling in the Sacramento area. They loved family life, picnics, ski boating and traveling in their RVs. She was preceded in death by her husband after their 60th wedding anniversary and was survived by four daughters: Wanda (Richard) Bible, Ernestine (Del)Hoffman, Delores (Denis) Evarts and Sandra (Larry) Andreotti. She was a devoted grandmother to nine living grandchildren and also to the late Theresa Bible. She had nine great-grandchildren. She had eleven brothers, one surviving.
