Helen A. Davidson, 83, Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

Helen Arlys Gamache was born the daughter of Arthur and Marie (Nielsen) Gamache in Olga, ND on September 28, 1935. She moved to Grand Forks, ND and spent her remaining years there. Helen worked at Kmart foods, than as a Dietary Aide at the Rehab for many years before retiring from Parkwood Place as a cook. Throughout the years she continued to sell Avon. She raised 5 wonderful children by herself while being very independent until her final days. She was an active member of Alter Society at St. Micheal’s for 60+ years. She enjoyed attending St. Micheal’s while being a big part of the church.
Helen was a very loving Grandmother who loved spending time with family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren by making them their favorite meals and desserts like rhubarb pie. She enjoyed helping her daughter Amy with childcare over the years and was known by all the children as “Grandma D”.
She is survived by 5 children: Eugene Davidson of Fargo, ND, Bruce Davidson of Grand Forks, ND, Kim Van Risseghem of Loveland, Co, Amy Litzinger of Grand Forks ND, and Julie Davidson of Greenville, WI. Along with 13 grandchildren: Adam Davidson, Monica Davidson, Callie Larson, Bobby Van Risseghem, Bryce Larson, Anthony Van Risseghem, Cody Parrill, Garrett Litzinger, Skylynne Romero, Breanne Romero, Brody Davidson and Jayden Haake. Which have provided her with 14 great grandchildren. A brother Pat (Judy) Gamache, and sisters Marilyn Carl and Anna Marie (Joe) Harlow.
Helen is preceded in death by her father Arthur Gamache, mother Marie Gamache Hoban and Step father Leo Hoban, along with many brothers and sisters: Dorthy Gendreau, Isadore Gamache, Rolande Gamache, Aurice Nichols, Ronald Gamache, Leonard Gamache, Irene Jones, Thersa Gendreau, Romeo Gamache, Wayne Gamache, and Arthur Gamache.
Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 pm Monday, August 5, 2019 in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the liturgy at the church on Monday.
Burial: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
