2nd Marriage Date: 8 April 1883
Marriage Place: Venice, Shiawassee County, Michigan,
— Spouse: Nancy Ellen Andrews [1867-1918]
~~~~~~~~~
Per the 1900 Federal Census for Elba, Michigan; Lewis & Nancy Ellen had six surviving children (Modelle Maude, Austin Ephraim, Nelson Thurman, Bertha A., Lester Nathan & Gertrude Mildred) born to Lewis Steven & Nancy Ellen (Andrews) Knight. Nancy reported that she had one additional child who did not survive infancy. Lewis was working as a farm laborer in 1900. By 1910, he & Nancy were running a boarding house in Satsop, Washington with three of their children.
~~~~~
Nancy died 27 Dec 1918 in Hoquiam, Washington at age 51; visual inspection of her Washington Death Certificate shows she died of chronic interstitial nephritis (kidney failure). It shows that she was buried at Cosmopolis [aka Forest Hill] Cemetery. Since I was unable to find a separate plot for her in official cemetery records, my assumption is they share the same plot.
