Orangeburg - William "Bill" Cochran, 80 of Orangeburg, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at his residence. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, in the Thompson Funeral Home chapel in Orangeburg, with Chaplain Ben Langdale officiating. Burial will follow in the Norway Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Taylor, Edward Taylor, Mark Usher, Jeremy Bentley and Robert Adkins. Mr. Bill was born Dec. 31, 1938, in Pahokee, Florida, the son of the late Warren Hansford Cochran and the late Daisy Phillips Cochran Hanberry. He was retired from Servcore and was active in the flea market for over 24 years. He was preceded in death by his mother and by a special friend for over 35 years, Helen Richards. Survivors include cousins, Barbara Usher of Orangeburg, Richard Phillips of Springfield, and Keith Phillips of Neeses; and family friends, Charles Dukes and his wife Rosa of Orangeburg and Helen Morris of Gilbert.
