Mr. Lawrence R. Benton, 87, of East Atlanta died Tuesday, June 6, 2006. Mr. Benton was a veteran of the US Navy See Bees. He was a mechanical engineer and an avid gardener. He is survived by his daughters, Molly Benton of Dunwoody, Laurie Benton Becker and husband Michael of Decatur, formally of Fayetteville, GA; and granddaughter, Brooks Becker. A graveside service will be held today, June 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Westview Cemetery, Dr. Frank H. Crumpler officiating. A. S. Turner & Sons
