Constance J. Wright was born February 13, 1948 in Dade City, Florida to the late Mr. and Mrs. David Thomas Johnson. Mrs. Wright was educated in the Pasco County school system attending, Moore-Mickens Elementary and Mickens High School. While at both institutions of learning, she was nurtured by strong, dedicated educators who helped tremendously in shaping her future.

After graduating from Mickens High School, she furthered her education at Saint Leo College. She soon became employed by Pasco County Board of Public Instruction. After several years as a business and typing teacher, Mrs. Wright, being the consummate educator that she was, brought math to life by teaching her students to see math in everything that they did. She touched lives and impacted the lives of hundreds of children.

Mrs. Wright accepted Christ as her Personal Savior at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church where she served faithfully until her health declined. She worked in various capacities of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, serving as Vice President of the senior choir, Vice President of the Josephine King Missionary Society, Financial Secretary and District and Annual Conference Steward for the Central Conference.

Mrs. Wright was united in holy matrimony to Larry Douglas Wright, Sr. on April 18 1968. To this union two children were born Felicia and Doug. Mrs. Wright was a pillar in the Dade City community and will be greatly missed.

On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, after a lengthy illness, Mrs. Wright was granted her angel wings when she transitioned from labor to reward. She was surrounded by a loving family who never left her side.

She leaves to mourn her passing: her loving husband, best friend and confidant of fifty-one years, Mr. Larry D. Wright, Sr.; one loving and devoted daughter, Felicia Wright-Plummer (Andre); two loving sons, Larry Douglas Wright,II ("Doug") and Zayden Simon-Douglas Wright; two granddaughters, Sandra Joann Wright and Amber Renee Loretta Grant; four great grandchildren, Ja'Liyah, Tiyana, An'Dreya and Ezra; one brother, Mr. Arthur J. Johnson; three sisters, Dr. Betty J. Smith, Mrs. Jacqueline Williams (Nathaniel) and Mrs. Carolyn Y. Timmons; three brothers-in-law, Wallace Wright, Sr., Woodrow Wright and Joseph Alleyne; and a host of sorrowful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
