Lisa D. Harper, age 54, of San Antonio, TX went home to the Lord on Friday, August 2nd. Lisa was born October 14, 1964 in Marshall, TX to Jeffery and Mrs Williams Flowers.
She graduated from Marshall High School, Class of 1983 and then joined the U.S. Army the following year. Lisa was Honorably discharged in 1989 to become a mother to her daughter.
Following her daughter's birth Lisa graduated from Wiley College in Marshall, TX with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She worked for Child Protective Services for over 17 years. During that time Lisa earned her Master's degree in Social Work from Steven F. Austin State University.
Lisa amazed her family with her strength and endurance while working for Child Protective Services, commuting 90 minutes each way to school and back while earning her Master's degree, and raising her family.
Upon graduating from Steven F. Austin State University, Lisa became a Licensed Master Social Worker.
She spent the last 3 years working for Pre-K 4 SA in San Antonio as a Family Specialist, utilizing her social work skills to help the community.
She was preceded in death by her father. Lisa is survived by her mother, husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, other relatives and many friends.
