Mary Lou Tillman, 60, of Green Cove Springs, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Baptist Clay Medical Campus in Fleming Island following an extended illness.
Born in Massolin, OH, Mary had lived in Green Cove Springs for the past four years coming from Palatka. For many years she worked as a cook in the hospitality business. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of Living Waters Church in Green Cove Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Tillman; a son, Jimmy Wayne Tillman, Jr.; a step-daughter Hope Williamson; and her parents, Kenard and Shirley Prunty.
Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Summer (Tony) Sweat of Green Cove Springs and Terry Tillman of St. Petersburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy (Larry) Cooper of Orange Park; and six grandchildren, Alexis Tillman, Henry Carhauyo, Emma Carhauyo, Mia Carhauyo, Steven Sweat and Daisy Sweat. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial gifts may be sent to the donor’s charity of choice.
