Funeral services for Rose B. Guidry, 101, will be held 11 a.m., Monday (January 21, 2002), at St John Berchman Catholic Church here with burial in the St John Berchman Cemetery.
Officiating will be Rev. Joseph McGill, pastor of Our Lady of the Oaks Retreat House.
Musical selection will be proved by Charlotte Jopling.
Mrs. Guidry, the former Rose Bergeron of Church Point, died 5 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2002, at Evangeline Oaks Guest House in Carencro. She was a parishioner of St. John Berchman Catholic Church.
Survivors incude a son, Roy Guidry and his wife Norma, of Church Point; four daughters, Mercedes Guidry Arceneaux and her husband, Frank, of Nacogdoches, Texas, Enadina Guidry Thibodeaux of Carencro, Earline Guidry Bordelon of Moreauvile and Rita Guidry Neupert of Hammond; 23 grandchidren; 35 gret-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs Guiry was preceded in death by her husband, Ignace Guidry; a grandson, poice officer Gregory James Neupert; her parents, Thelismer J. Bergeron and the former Amerite Delahoussaye; six brotherss, Columbus Bergeron, Drew Bergeron, Robert Bergeron, Gustave Bergeron, Jean Batiste Bergeron and David Bergeron; four sisters, Mae Bergeron Latiolais, Edelzain Bergeron Guidry, Delphine Bergeron Daigle and Eugenie Bergeron Thibodeaux; and three sons-in-law, Aaron Thibodeaux, Eugene Bordelon and Edward Neupert, Jr.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today (January 20, 2002) and 8 a.m. to time of service Monday at Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Thad Guiry, Carl Arceneaux, Glenn Thibodeaux, Mark Bordelon, Scott Neupert and Todd Neupert.
Melancon Funera Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 North University Avenue, Carencro, is in charge of arrangements.
