Isaac Ewing was born in Jackson or Gwinnett County, Georgia to William and Hannah (Whaley) Ewing. He married Ledid "Lydia" Hughes on 4 Oct 1837 in Newton County. They had thirteen children. Before 1860 he returned to Gwinnett County and is listed in the Chinquapin Grove District, near his brothers Thomas, Jones Henderson and Charles Ewing. He was in Lawrenceville in 1870, and died sometime before 1880. While some of his children stayed in Gwinnett County, some moved to Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana. Sons: William E.
