Perry L. Johnson, 56, of Sterling, CO passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Sterling. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, Nov. 1st, at the Berean Church in Sterling. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Ft. Collins, CO on Friday, November 2nd, at 2:00 p.m.

Perry was born on February 19, 1962 in Duluth, MN to Arthur L and Diane M. (Seppa) Johnson. He graduated from Champlain College, Summa Cum Laude, in 1984. He worked at IBM prior to moving to Sterling. He then worked at the Overland Trail Museum and was in charge of the children’s programs. Perry spent the last 11 years sharing history with the children in a fun, unique, informative way. Perry also wrote children’s books which have delighted children of all ages. He was extremely talented and he lived to bring joy to others through his enjoyable, fun way of writing. Perry enjoyed playing golf, chess, basketball, and softball.

Perry is survived by his father Arthur L. Johnson; sister Lorrie A. Hulbert and brother-in-law Greg; niece Shaina Johannsen (Matt), nephew Samuel (Karin) Hulbert; nieces Sadie Hulbert and Hannah Hulbert; great-nieces Sophia and Lydia; great-nephews Kaiden, Carson, and Colton; uncle Jeff Johnson (Cheryl), cousins Debra Johnson and Daniel Johnson, aunt Carol Melvy (Jack), and cousins Jon Melvy and Kirsten Melvy.

He was preceded in death by his mother Diane M. Johnson; grandparents Arnold and Eleanor Seppa; grandmother Ozzie Johnson.
