Sgt. Crow of Inglis, Florida was a Belleview High School graduate and enlisted in military right out of high school on April 26, 2001. He went to Korea, and then to Iraq. This was his third trip to Iraq deploying with his unit on February 6, 2007 to Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. On a previous tour he was awarded a Purple Heart. His awards include, the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Good Conduct Medal, second award, the National Defense Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, second award, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Presidential Unit Citation and the Valorous Unit Award. He was killed in Iraq when the Humvee he was driving rolled over an improvised explosive device at age 28.
