Frankie graduated from Mergenthaler High School in Baltimore City, 1975 and attained her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Baltimore City Community College. She worked there in Administration for several years until she committed to working for the State of Maryland; where she retired after decades of service.
Frankie married the late Leon Major, and from that union they were blessed with a son, Rasheem Major. Thirteen years later she was blessed again with a daughter Ciara Webster. Frankie then met and fell in love with James Richardson Sr. (Boo-Boo) which led to their marriage on September 22, 2003.
The essence of Frankie is difficult to put into words. Her presence demanded attention. Her jovial spirit, eclectic style, and famous sayings captivated people (Yay-Yay). She enjoyed listening to music, spending time with family, and spoiling her grandchildren (her Nanna puddings). She loved the Lord and would always give Him praise when she greeted you on the phone (Praise Him).
Frankie leaves to celebrate her life and honor her memory: her husband, James Richardson Sr.; her mother, Rena Khamanza; two children, Rasheem Major, Ciara Webster; a daughter-in-law, Mistie Major; a son-in-law, Daryll Hubbard; five siblings, Harvey Cherry, Carol Harrison, Linda Cherry, Sara Khamanza, Mapenzi Khamanza (Lourena Cherry preceded her in death); four brothers-in-law, James Harrison, Ronald Richardson (Ella), Mark Richardson (Alice) from Virginia, Rich Richardson; sister-in-law, Celestine Richardson (widower); two step-children, James Richardson Jr. (Mari) and Kia; nine grandchildren, Jaiheim Codrington, Tyler Major, Dy'Cin Hubbard, Avela Hubbard, Josiah Hubbard, Yapah Hubbard, Naahmanah Hubbard, Righteous Prince Hubbard, Jual Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
